We are seeking a Project Manager, IT Services for our Glendale Office. This position is responsible for following project management processes and procedures for small to medium scale projects. This includes gathering project teams, identifying needed resources, managing responsibilities, and developing time frames necessary for successful completion of project. This includes working closely with all practical areas within IT and the business to coordinate processes that provide effective and timely results to business and technical solutions.


GENERAL SUMMARY:

Initial Requirements
  • Must live within 30 miles of the Glendale location due to working out of this office daily (LANAIR Group, LLC. 620 N. Brand Blvd 6th Floor, Glendale, CA 91203).
  • The ability to quickly become familiar with and communicate our solutions to assigned engineers and client resources. Solutions include wireless, server virtualization, Microsoft AD and Exchange upgrades, switch and firewall upgrades, large scale desktop deployments (virtual and physical).
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position requires extensive communications internally and externally through email, phone calls, and face to face meetings.
  • Must have the ability to identify and manage the small details and the big picture at the same time.
  • Must have experience in managing IT engineering professionals on project work.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manages medium to large scale IT Infrastructure projects using strong facilitation skills, which includes supporting existing project management approaches, standards, processes and metrics for IT projects.
  • Develops project scope of work, base design, objectives, detailed work plans, resource plans, budget, communications, and status reports.
  • Manages project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and checking work efforts using strong facilitation skills on a continuous basis, escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Manages all project resources, internal and external, and may include resources from IT and business, and external contractors.
  • Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans and/or resources accordingly to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and within scope.
  • Successfully promotes momentum, enthusiasm and pride within the project team, contributing to a positive working environment.
  • Works with and reports directly to the Senior Management.

Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Strong experience facilitating meetings to arrive at objectives and timeframes including defining objectives, participants, process and expected outcomes.
  • Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet recognized deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management principles and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge and background of all IT disciplines and maintains current knowledge of key technical best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Strong problem solving, analytic, and decision making skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal English communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure when faced with conflict and adjusts quickly and effectively as team role changes.
  • Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications. Able to learn company specific applications.
  • Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.

Education & Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years related experienced in implementing and/or managing information management and technology solutions.
  • Experience in the IT consulting industry preferred
